Heavy feeling in pelvis

Heavy feeling in pelvis

I am 30 weeks pregnant and i'm getting this strange heavy feeling in my vagina like the whole thing is going to be pushed out of my body. It's also feeling swollen lots of the time. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it normal?

Our midwife Melissa says:

"Hi, it can be quite normal to feel extra pressure in your lower pelvis and vagina as pregnancy progresses, especially if you have already had a baby.  Just to be on the safe side, I’d recommend you see your midwife or doctor for further advice because sometimes it can also be a sign that your baby might be born sooner than expected.  A quick check by your midwife or doctor can reassure you that all is perfectly normal."
