What to expect from your caregiver for your baby will depend on their health and well being. In most cases the baby will be fit and well, needing very little ongoing observations. In some cases the baby will be in good health, but may have some predisposing 'risk factors', prompting the caregiver to recommend some routine observations for the first day or so. Occasionally the baby will be unwell and need to transfer to the
Intensive Care Nursery.
