Twins or more

Twins or more

Caring for one baby can be hard work. Double (or triple) the number of babies and you know your work will be cut out for you. Having twins or more can be a marvellous, rewarding experience, but for at least the first 12 months your babies will present you with many challenges.

Caring for twins (or more) is based on the same principles as caring for one baby, just usually more work and organisation. The basics of nappy changing, bathing, wrapping your babies is no different. When, and how, you coordinate these activities for more than one baby usually becomes the primary issue. In the beginning, you will probably muddle your way through caring for your babies and learn as you go. As time goes on, you will become more skilled and organised. Feeding all your babies can also be a challenge, and tips for making this more manageable are discussed in breastfeeding or bottle feeding.

You can read more about caring for your babies in Twins or more - after the birth.
