It's official! In 2010, there were more Jack and Rubys born in Australia than any other names. Last year, 2 134 Master Jacks and 1927 little Rubys were born around the country, making them the most popular names for boys and girls in 2010.
Birth's national top 100 baby names list 50 of the most popular boy and girl names given to new bubs born in every state and territory in Australia *.
Along with Jack and Ruby, William and Chloe are the nation's second most popular boy and girl names with 2,127 Williams born last year and 1764 Chloes. Oliver and Charlotte are the third place winners in each gender with 1774 Oliver and 1757 baby Charlotte birth certificates being issued.
