Suggestions to consider for visualisation

Suggestions to consider for visualisation

Points to consider for recording

If you, or a friend, intend to record your own guided relaxation and visualisation there are a few points to remember:

Begin speaking in a normal relaxed tone.
Allow your voice to become quieter, speaking slower as the relaxation progresses.
The words should be spoken slowly, (but not too slow), with pauses and phrasing for emphasis. Phrasing for emphasis is important in formulating a hypnotic suggestion. This is a suggestion given in a state of deep relaxation, phrased in a way to decrease the probability of resistance to the suggestion, and to increase the probability of its acceptance.
You may wish to play some relaxing background music, or nature sounds such as running water, while recording.

Points to consider before you visualise

Turn your phone down or off.
Allow yourself at least 15-20 minutes
Remember, there is no wrong or right way to visualise.
If you fall asleep, it doesn't matter. The relaxation aim has obviously worked.
Make yourself comfortable.
Empty your bladder.
