Emotions for the partner/support person, early 1st phase
Feeling excited, because the labour is progressing.
Relieved and relaxed that she is coping.
Worried, if she is not coping with this early phase and beginning to wonder how she will cope with the labour ahead of her.
Tired, if the prelabour was very long.
Nervous and thinking we should be at the hospital now!
Frustrated and starting to wonder why it is taking so long– why isn’t the labour ‘stepping up’ after such a long time?
Didn't really notice an early phase.
Relieved that you are coping.
