Your visualisation for breastfeeding may follow this direction, once you have latched your baby on the breast.
"Gently close your eyes... listen to your breathing. Let your breathing become a little deeper... relaxed, and in your own rhythm. Feel your beautiful baby in your arms..... nuzzling at your breasts.
Become aware of your breathing, and with the next out breath, allow all your thoughts to fade away, leaving your mind quiet...... concentrating only on your breath. Let this sensation continue down your face, relaxing your forehead, your eyes... feel your face soften and loosen, allowing your jaw and mouth to slightly open... on the next breath out.
With each and every breath out, you relax and let go more and more, you hear your baby suckling at your breast........ and with the next breath out, imagine breathing out any tension you may be holding from your left shoulder, all the way down through your left arm to your elbow.... through the lower arm down through the wrist and hand, right out through your fingertips. Feel your arm beginning to let go, feel heavy... feel it relax more and more with each breath out. You are aware of the weight of your baby in your arms.....your baby is held within your strong and relaxed arms.
With your next breath out, breathe out any tension from your right shoulder, all the way down through your right arm.... all the way down to the wrist and hand, right out through your finger tips, so that the right arm too, is heavy and completely relaxed. Your baby feels you relaxing and letting go with each breath........ and lays comforted in your arms.
With your next breath out, you relax your back...... and your chest..... letting go. Imagine your breasts full of milk .....you feel your nipple being gently pulled within your baby's mouth (you may wish to insert your baby's name where appropriate).....your beautiful baby milks your breasts.....and with the next breath out you see the milk releasing down.....
