Choosing to bottle feed can be an easy, clear-cut decision for some women, because it is based on an informed choice that they feel very comfortable with. However for other women, the choice may not be so straightforward, with the hardest issue often being to be able to honestly answer the question, "Do I truly wish to breast or bottle feed my baby?'
In many cases, women want to breastfeed, but after a short time change to bottle feeding (for whatever reason). This may be due to a lack of quality support and help when dealing with
breastfeeding problems, or perhaps having little practical support from loved ones once at home. Sometimes, the decision to formula feed just slowly evolves due to circumstances that feel a little beyond your control or it may feel like a positive decision that you don't really regret.
It can be very disappointing to stop breastfeeding before you feel ready to. Especially if it seems that other women are breastfeeding 'easily' with little effort.
