Use more oil, as you need to.

To progress to your baby's arms, move your hands out, across and over your baby's shoulders. Then cup your hands around the top of their arms and gentle slide your hands down the arms, to have your baby's arms resting beside their body. Both arms can be massaged at the same time. Repeat this 4 to 5 times. |

You can then work from the top of your baby's chest and move your hands outwards over their shoulders, to gently and smoothly pull their arms outward, in line with their shoulders. Move (or slide) your hands back to the top of your baby's chest and repeat this action 4 to 5 times. |
| 3. |
Then, using your fingers, gently open your baby's hand. Place their open hand between the palms of your hands. Slowly and gently rub their hand between your palms. |
| 4. |
With their fingers opened out a bit more now, massage their palm and the back of their hand with your thumb and index fingers. Work from their wrist to their fingers, squeezing gently backwards and forwards. Do this for up to 20 seconds on each hand. |

Spread your baby's fingers and thumb, and one by one very gently pull each of them through your thumb and finger. |
| 6. |
You can finish this hand by rubbing it between the palms of your hands again. Repeat this whole sequence with your baby's other hand. Wipe the oil off your baby's hands when you have finished, as babies tend to suck on the fingers. |
