For women whose baby is lying in a posterior position, they may try a couple of acupressure points to help encourage their baby to rotate to an anterior position.
Toe points (BL 67). The toe points are found on the outside edge of the little toes, on the outer corner of each little toenail. The person usually applies pressure with their index fingers (or thumbs) on both points of the little toes, at the same time. The pressure is applied as the contraction starts, and eases off as the contraction subsides.

Lower spine point (BL 23). The lower spine point may be located by drawing an imaginary line across the back, from the top of the hips bones, finding the space between the two vertebrae just above this imaginary line. The person usually applies firm pressure during the woman's contractions to help relieve her back pain, and hopefully encourage her baby to rotate from a posterior position to an anterior position. (Meaning the baby moves from having their backbone on woman's back bone, to the baby's backbone moving towards the woman's front).
